Open the Joiner
Use Add To Joiner on the sidebar to add the current edit. Use Open Joiner to open the list without starting an export. Reorder or revise items, then create the video from inside the Joiner. The Joiner menu also retains Create Video From Joiner List.
Optional chapters and list clearing
Add chapter marks at clip joins inserts chapter marks at each clip start in chapter-capable containers such as MKV, MP4 and MOV. Existing chapters are retained. This option is initially off.
Clear list when closing is also initially off. It clears an idle list only; an active export or pending preparation retains its items.
List operations
- Move the selected item up or down to change program order.
- Remove an item without deleting its source file.
- Edit a title card or item description.
- Replace a missing source while preserving the intended list position.
- Open an item for inspection when boundary or stream compatibility is uncertain.
Check transitions
The end of one item and start of the next must produce valid timestamps and decodable stream continuity. A full-transcode profile is the safest choice for mixed codecs, dimensions or frame rates.
Do not overwrite inputs
The Joiner output must use a new destination. Saving the list stores instructions, not copied media; keep its source files available until the final output is complete and verified.
